Edibles
For many years, people have been enjoying cannabis as more than just a flower that can be smoked or vaporized. In fact, one of the most popular ways to enjoy cannabis is through edibles; food that has been infused with cannabis THC or CBD (or both), and can be consumed to get the same effects as smoking. People who have been curious about trying cannabis for the first time may be more inclined to lean towards edibles, since they're more approachable and easier to use. You literally eat or drink them. Pretty simple, right? There are many different kinds of edibles available, so let's talk about some of the more popular forms in which these treats are made. This way you might be able to narrow down the type of edible that would appeal most to you. Just remember: If you’re new to edibles take it low and slow. Low dosage. Small portions. It’s really easy to eat more later. It’s impossible to eat less, once you’ve had too much.
EDIBLE CHOCLATE BARS
One of the biggest complaints that first time edible users have is that the taste of cannabis tends to bleed through into the food into which it's being cooked.
Edible chocolate bars are a great way to combat that issue, since the strong taste of chocolate does a good job of masking the cannabis flavors in many cases.
As well, edible chocolate bars are sometimes available in larger sizes; where there are multiple doses are provided in a single bar. These are great, because they're often divided into easy-to-separate sections.
You’ll be far less likely to take too many edibles at once and overindulge when you choose edibles like this, because you can easily separate a dose and then put the rest away, so you’re not tempted to eat more.
EDIBLE GUMMIES
The most common form of edibles you'll find are easily edible gummies. These come in a rainbow of colors, flavors, shapes and sizes. They’re usually small enough to fit easily into any container, bag or pocket; so, you can take them with you to enjoy anywhere!
The variety of sizes also means that there's a wide range of dosage options available with edible gummies. There are strict guidelines in place through the Government of Canada, though, on how much THC is allowed to be in each edible. Always read the label on the container. If it’s a legal product, it should make all of the ingredients very clear on its packaging.

CBD EDIBLES
Edibles aren't just for getting high. In fact, many new cannabis users and those that don't enjoy cannabis' psychoactive effects, are finding that they can really enjoy CBD edibles.
These edibles are almost completely devoid of THC (less than 0.3%), so you don't have to worry about taking them before you do things like go to work or drive a vehicle.
Best of all, you can still enjoy all the same medicinal benefits you could receive from THC-infused cannabis products (i.e., pain relief, reduced stress, better sleep, etc.), without any of the euphoria.
These are a perfect introduction to cannabis for older consumers, or those who are still trying to look past the old negative stigmas associated with cannabis use, since they don't impair your mental state.
